Durga Puja (Bengali: দুর্গাপূজা), also known as ‘Durgotsava”, is an annual Hindu festival in the India that worships the ‘Goddess Durga’. It is particularly popular in West Bengal of India. And it is also popularly celebrate in Assam, Tripura, Odisha of India. The festival of ‘Durgapuja” also celebrate in Bangladesh and Nepal. The festival is observed in the Hindu calendar month of Ashvin (अश्विन), normally September or October of the Gregorian calendar. ‘Durgapuja’ is a multi-day festival that features highly structured temple and stage decorations known as ‘Pandal, scripture recitation, performance arts, revelry, and processions. It is a major festival in the ‘Shaktism’ tradition of Hinduism across India and Shakta Hindu Diaspora.
